Supervision

1

Sex Therapy Supervision

I am an AASECT Supervisor in Training. I offer individual supervision for AASECT members that have completed or are currently enrolled in sex therapy training.

Licensing Supervision

Supervision during your limited license phase requires a crucial amount of support. This form of supervision is both structured and fluid. I have found that new social workers enjoy space to brainstorm strategies for difficult cases and space to celebrate case successes. Applying new modalities, accessing trainings, professional networking, and self care are also common topics. Licensing supervision sometimes require crisis consultation.

It is important that expectations are clear and that a supervisor has adequate experience in the area of focus of the supervisee. Consultations to discuss fit are a first step in exploring supervision.

Create a Group

Group consultation is a wonderful opportunity to learn and process new skills in specific content area. Closed groups offer an opportunity for support and clinical exploration. Shared topic areas such as trauma intervention, parts work, EMDR, or shared populations, sexual abuse survivors, chronic pain management, residential treatment youth; can be a wonderful way to grow as a clinician. Reach out to form a group for consultation.
