Erin Martinez
Therapist, Educator, Author
I view the world and my work from an attachment-center, trauma-informed lens with a deep focus and respect on relational and collective resiliency. I believe we have a right to own our stories and have access to ways we can edit and empower our own narratives.
My Vision of The Work
Therapy is healing. Healing is regulation, processing, balance, investigating, imagining, unburdening, revisiting. . .
The roles of a therapist are many: to introduce, teach, practice tools, to bear witness to pain and to stories, to feel with, to push and challenge the person into the toughest spaces, to invite the person into the safest and most peaceful places, to visualize, to recognize, to listen, to respond, to suggest,
maybe to hug, to make coffee, to pass a tissue, to text a reminder, to sit silently, to laugh along with, to be present.

I am humbled and inspired by the beautiful people that I have had the opportunity to work with over 25 years. I am pretty sure I learn more than I teach, but I know that in the space between us there is hope, growth, tools, deep breaths, and the experience of truly being seen and known.
